When it's cold outside, I've got the month of May

It's gone all quiet around here at the Big Blog. I've got plenty of stuff to say but I can be bothered which is a bit of a bummer.

One thing I have got to say is that strangely I'm actually enjoying the wetter weather! Usually when summer finishes I get a bit depressed as It takes so long for it to return, but thinking about it I probably have my fondest memories from this time of year and over winter.

My birthday is at the beginning of December, then it's Christmas, the New Year, and of course it's nice to have a few days off.

I like being able to wear a coat and being cold outside but warm inside (It's true what they say about feeling the benefit.)

I like the season too in the fact that it's definitely Autumn and Winter. I suppose it's good that we still actually have seasons (Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter), as soon we won't (I don't think), as they all seem to be blending together.

So roll on winter!!

I have to say that fall is my favorite season, the leaves are changing, the weather is changing, and football is in full swing. Have a great weekend, and have a pint for me.

Autumn is my favorite time of year also, and I found myself nodding my head as you listed the things you like about it. I love the changing color of leaves and the way they smell when they're wet. I love the cinnamon and spices that really begin to perfume the air around this time. Autumn and Winter are also wonderful, as you say, to walk in and feel the chill outside. It always makes coming inside and having something hot to drink so much more enjoyable!

My birthday is in January, so I have a similar run of holidays and special days. Perhaps, as you say, it contributes to it.
